Getting There, Slow Sundays Style

So, I've become a little behind in the ride updates. Thankfully K-star has picked up the slack and posted her lovely photos from the weekend.

I've decided to travel back in time to post some pictures from the weekend before. We had an epic ride from Glebe, and followed the waterfront all the way around Pyrmont, Circular Quay, King Street wharf, Barangaroo, Walsh Bay and Darling Harbour to get to the Botanic Gardens.

We discovered two things on that ride: when we tell people we're going to meet them at Midday for a picnic, we really mean an hour or two later. The other, is that we should really check to see what's on at Darling Harbour, and if the International Boat Show is on, it means we're in for a long slow walk through massive crowds... not the most fun, but after there is always the long open stretch of King Street and Barangaroo to look forward to.

It was another lovely, sunny winter day. We picniced and drinked and danced in the Gardens.

Next sunny weekend I encourage everyone to hop on their bikes are have a picnic with friends and lovers :)
